COORDINATORS

HealthCorps seeks outgoing and motivated instructors willing to work with students, parents, and community members to identify and implement healthy change. Training for HealthCorps Coordinators is currently provided during an intensive five week training period in New York City.

We have concluded our Fall 2007 interview process but welcome applicants for the Fall 2008 school year.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: COORDINATOR, HealthCorps

Description:

HealthCorps, a ground breaking health education program, founded and developed by heart surgeon and best selling author Mehmet Oz, is seeking dynamic, proactive, and engaging individuals to teach its school curriculum and coordinate community health education events. Coordinators will be a part of a national initiative launched in response  to a drastic decline in the health of our nation. Based upon a “Peace Corps” model of employment, Coordinators serve a maximum of one to two years in a designated school.  The mission of HealthCorps is to increase individual awareness and to create a generation of self empowered individuals today, for a healthier America tomorrow. 

Other Qualifications:

Requirements: Applicants must have obtained a bachelors degree by May 2008 and have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher. Health Science and Social Science majors and or experience working with schools and or communities is a plus.

Pay:

$28,000 first year base; health insurance and travel compensation provided
